ROUGH ROCK HIGH SCHOOL

The Rough Rock High School was designed in collaboration with Professor Chester Sprague at the MIT Department of Architecture in the early 1970's. As was the case with the Black Mesa Community School Project, this project involved intensive work with isolated Navajo communities, with all decisions made at meetings conducted in the Navajo language. The executing Architect was Pacheco & Graham of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
