In 1984 George Claflen designed the EPA regional office at 841 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia. This project required extremely diverse functional requirements to be inserted in a complex and irregular collection of floors, all under budget driven GSA requirements limiting both space and the cost of its fit out. It was completed from programming to move in within seven months.
