The Black Mesa Community School was
designed by George Claflen as a Senior Architect in conjunction
with Leon Shirley of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This building incorporates
the original design principles used by the native culture for centuries.
As with the Rough Rock project, meetings and community liaison were
conducted in the Navajo language.
